The York County Buy Fresh, Buy Local chapter has launched a county-wide scavenger hunt designed to connect consumers to the freshest and most delicious local food.
The Buy Fresh, Buy Local (BFBL) Scavenger Hunt runs through Aug. 11, and invites families to make their way through 29 of the county’s farms, orchards, dairies and nurseries this summer.
To play, pick up the scavenger hunt map in the 2012 food guide at local libraries and BFBL partner farmers’ markets and businesses.
You also can download a copy at www.buyfreshbuylocalyork.com. Visit the participating partners with your scavenger hunt map and get it stamped.
Those who collect at least 10 stamps will receive discount coupons from BFBL partners. All returned scavenger hunt maps with 12 stamps or more will be entered into a drawing for several grand prizes.
