| The Pastoral Care and Education staff at WellSpan York Hospital recently surprised Ruth Schrom, their 95-year-old volunteer, with a birthday cake. Schrom has volunteered more than 2,705 hours since beginning on March 26, 1990. She volunteers once a week and calls area clergy, informing them of people from their church who have been admitted. All patients have given their consent before Schrom informs the clergy of their admission. |
